Descended from Dragons
by Tricia OwensThis was a fast paced, very original story. So much fun to read. Characters are likable and eclectic and you really care for them. Ms. Owens book pulls you in from the first page and by the end your glad she hints about more to come 🙂 Anne Moody (even though she has supernatural powers) is definitely relatable and you cheer her on. I really enjoyed it. I’m looking forward to the next story.
Beneath the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas lies another city populated by demons, warlocks, shape-shifters and golems. This other city, hiding in plain sight, feeds off the chance-magic that is generated by gamblers and is ruled by mysterious beings called the Oddsmakers.
Anne Moody runs a cursed pawnshop in Las Vegas for the desperate, the curious, and the magically inclined. None of her customers even slightly suspect that she is in fact a dragon sorceress with powers that have been feared throughout history. One day, a visitor to her shop pawns a stone statue more potent than it seems. As Anne slowly learns, someone is planning to take over Las Vegas with a horde of demons from Hell. Now, it is up to her to defy the Oddsmakers and save the city, and possibly the entire world.
